Here is a list of foods that can trigger migraines, if you are suffering from migraines I would cut this foods out of your diet. Ideally you would cut all of these out until your migraines go away. If that’s too hard start with one at a time a keeping taking tings out.
Eggs- feeds viruses and other pathogens in the body that can inflame and irritate the central nervous system, which then irritates the Vagus nerve and even areas of them brain causing a migraine
Gluten- feeds strep bacteria which can cause a lot of inflammation in the body triggering migraines
Meat- when you have digestive issues and you consume meat, it produces ammonia in the stomach which leaks out minimizing oxygen to the brain resulting in a migraine
Fermented Foods- or vinegar-based foods lower the pH in their intestinal tract creating higher levels of acid in the digestive tract which can trigger a migraine. Apple Cider Vinegar alone can trigger migraines in most people. This includes things like kombucha, sauerkraut, fermented vegetables.
Salt- too much salt in your diet can cause migraines because it is very dehydrating, so be aware of your salt consumption.
Oils- canola, corn, cottonseed and palm oil feed pathogens in the body creating more inflammation which can lead to migraines.
Additives (MSG, aspartame)- these are toxic to our neurons and can be one of the more aggressive triggers for migraines.
Alcohol- extremely dehydrating leading to migraines and it also hard on our livers.
Coffee, Matcha Tea, Chocolate, Cacao, and other caffeinated things- caffeine is over stimulating and highly aggressive to the central nervous system and can trigger migraines. Some people claim that chocolate or other forms of caffeine helps a migraine, but the migraines you are getting are from withdrawal.
