Anti-Inflammatory Herbs

Ginger

Turmeric

Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10)

  • Helps lower inflammation and helps protect the health of the mitochondria in our cells, helps with diabetes, muscle performance and brain health

Bladderwrack

  • High source of iodine

  • Traditionally is used to treat an underactive or overactive thyroid, and iodine deficiency

  • Helps lower lipid and cholesterol levels

  • It is a type of sea moss found in the Atlantic and pacific oceans 

Burdock Root

  • This root is a diuretic, blood cleanser, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antifungus, anticancer, antiviral, and antibacterial

  • Traditionally used to treat skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, acne, because it helps with the removal of toxins from the surface of the skin 

  • It also helps to restore liver function and health 

Elderberry

  • Is an anti-inflammatory, antiviral, anti-influenza, and anticancer herb

  • Used to treat colds, the flu, allergies, and helps in removing mucus from the respiratory system

  • Studies have also shown that is prevents H1N1 virus from entering the cells

  • It will be interesting if they find that it also helps with preventing COVID-19

 Lavender

  • Has antifungal, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-insomnia, anti-anxiety, and antidepressant properties

  • Traditionally lavender is used to treat restlessness, insomnia, nervousness, and depression

  • Also, used for migraines, nerve pain, joint pain, reverses abdominal swelling from gas, upset stomach, nausea, loss of appetite, and vomiting

  • Try having lavender tea, or consume is ground in a capsule 

Nettle Root & Leaf

  • Nettle is an anti-inflammatory, anticancer, diuretic, antioxidant, antimicrobial, antiulcer herb

  • Nettle root helps treat enlarges prostate and joint pain

  • Nettle leaves help with arthritis, sore muscles, hair loss, anemia, poor circulation, diabetes, allergies, eczema, rashes, and asthma

Red Clover

  • Has anticancer, diuretic, anti-inflammatory properties

  • It is used for its estrogen properties, which help relieve menopause symptoms 

  • It is a blood purifier, and breaks up calcification in soft tissues (happens with age), and cleans the lymphatic system

Sage

  • Is an antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antitumor, and anti-obesity herb

  • It has also been proven to reduce LDL cholesterol (the bad one) and raise HDL cholesterol (the good one)

  •  It is used to improve memory

  •  Treat menopausal hot flashes

  • Reduces gastrointestinal inflammation

  • Nourishes the pancreas and because of that treats diabetes

Sea Moss

  • Has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and laxative properties

  • It is used to sooth irritates mucous membranes from colds, coughs, bronchitis, tuberculosis, gastric ulcers, and intestinal problems

  • It has also been used to help joint health and skin health because of its wide range of nutrients 

Yellow Dock Root

  • Is an antioxidant, antimicrobial, antibacterial, and  anti-inflammatory

  • Stimulates bile production, which aids in the digestion of fats and stimulates bowel movements to clear the digestive tract 

  • Traditionally has been used as a blood purifier,  liver and gallbladder cleanser, as well as cleans the lymphatic system
